The Jungle pages 50-100

This part starts with Jurgis going to work. His job was to sweep the smoked entrails from the animals into a trap. The day was hot, and the place smelled, but Jurgis was still happy and his only thought was that he was earning money. Now they needed a house. They find one that is cheap and get it. The next chapter is mostly explaining their joy in getting a house, and the descriptions of it. They needed more friends, they had a lot of problems still, and needed help. The rest of the chapter is explaining happenings on the neighborhood that they moved into, but they were still determined to continue and payoff for the house. They continue the struggle for the money to pay for the house through the hot, harsh, summer, through fall, and in to the winter that proves to be even more harsh. This is where this part ends, stay tuned for pages 100-150!!
